School-Based Health Centers in North Carolina:  Over 30,000 students receive healthcare through over 90 SBHCs in North Carolina.  Many of these centers are credentialed by the Department of Health and Human Services to assure quality comprehensive services are delivered to youth. Other SBHCs provide other models of school-based care and services including wellness centers, mobile medical clinics, mental health clinics, and telemedicine services that further increase access to health providers.
